HLC Mindlinx Powder 60g is available by Pharmax.
Features & benefits
? HLC Mindlinx contains specifically selected strains of Lactobacillus cripatus (CUL 221) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus (CUL 341). These are strains that are proven to degrade wheat and dairy exorphins and to attach to, and colonize, intestinal epithelial cells. (Figs 1 & 2)
? HLC Mindlinx has been shown to degrade dietary exorphins in human subjects. (Fig 3)
? L-glutamine is a major energy source for enterocytes and so has an essential role in the maintenance and repair of the GI tract.
Up to 50% of autistic and ADHD individuals co-present with intestinal symptoms. The gut pathologies which have, so far, been proven to be linked to these conditions are leaky gut, inflammation and overt colitis. These gut pathologies are related to certain foods, especially glutencontaining grains and dairy products.
Intestinal symptoms and autism/ADHD severity decrease when dairy and wheat exclusion diets are followed.
This link is due to gluten and dairy proteins being broken down in the gut into peptides with opiate properties similar to endorphins and opiate drugs. These dietary ?exorphins? are absorbed from the gut and reach the brain where they cause symptoms associated with autism.
