An antifungal, eight-carbon, short chain fatty acid preferred by thousands of physicians over the prescription drug Nyastatin for the control of candida albicans.

Caprylic-Priority is virtually non-toxic and non-sensetizing at the recommended dosages. Very large doses (5 times the recommended dose) can cause musocal irritation and produce dirrhea and nausea. In some patients, fatigue and flu-like symptoms may occur during the first 2-5 days od caprylic acid use. These symptoms are believed to be cause by a yeast die-off and reabsorption phenomenon. Herxheimer's reaction (an increase in symptoms after administration of a drug) is the result of histamine release, which is accompanied by pain and swelling. This product conatins Pau D'Arco which should not be ingested by pregnant women.
